Well, successful people are happy people. Period. Seeking success is no crime at all. However, it is more about your state of being than the physical status of success that counts the most
In this post, we will be sharing some insights to help us answer the question; what is success? and how to become successful in life.
What Is Success In Life?: Succes is Awareness of Who You Are.
The reason we spend so much time asking the question; what is success in life?- because we have not fully realized who we are.
Success is first, a state of confidence in self-a belief in one’s ability, and response to that ability to produce the result expected of him by the universe which endowered him with such an ability.
The journey to success begins with the awareness of who you are (realization of potential and power you possess), confidence and belief in that power/potential- and a response (action) to that ability to yield results.
Who Are You?
We cannot comprehensively answer the question- of what is success in life- if we fail to understand the extent of our human potential and makeup.
Oprah Winfrey says the answer to that question is; ‘I Am God’s Child’. She went further to explain that, one of the reasons she became ‘successful’ (by the world’s definition of success: fame, Influence & Wealth), is because she grew up with this knowing-that, She was indeed God’s Child. This built her self-confidence.
What does it mean to be God’s child?
It means you are a universal being. You are a Spirit, with a significant amount of power, having a physical earthly experience. When you realize this-that it is not just you alone having to face the challenges of life- that you are an extension of the Universe, a divine creation with the backings of the Universe, you cease pursuing success, by the world’s definition of success and allow success to come through you.
Success Is not Selflessness Nor Fame.
Success is not necessarily about helping humanity or making the world a better place. Neither is it about having a sense of mission-working on a cause greater than you and being selfless. It is not about fame nor the amount of wealth we acquire.
Ahh? If success is not all that, then what is success in life?
Success is your ability to produce the results you are expected to produce, based on the resources (potentials, capacity) given to you to produce such results. To whom much is given, much is expected.
We (humans) are over-endowered. It is a gross misrepresentation of human potential, power, and resources if we continue to beg for bread (endure poverty) -when we can feed nations.
It is no crime to seek influence, fame, and wealth. That is our potential crying out; seeking expression, placing a demand on us.
However, It is only a crime when we seek success, as though we can not create it-as if we do not possess the resources, capacity, and potential to generate it.
How Do I Become Successful? Get Knowledge
I hope by now, you have gotten the answer to the question; What is a success or what is success in life.
It is ok to want financial success, health, and great relationships. But the gap between us and our desires is knowledge. Knowledge makes a huge difference between seeking and getting.
To someone seeking financial success, and wondering how to become successful in that area, here is Oprah Winfrey’s Suggestion.
Build Your Self-Confidence.
There are so many famous, rich and influential unhappy people, who are still seeking the answer to what is success in life. This is because they lack self-confidence. They do not feel they are enough.
One of the things that helped build my self-confidence was, the understanding of this statement by Oprah Winfrey; ‘I am God’s child.
It helped me accept myself and develop the feeling of significance- even when I have no influence, wealth, or fame.
God’s child? That means I am god. A powerful being! God’s extension must be a big deal! The moment this realization came to my soul, my self-confidence went to the roof. I hope it does the same thing for you.
Another thing that can help boost your self-confidence is to work on becoming a better person.
What Do You Sell?
What do you do? The first time someone asked me this question, I had no definite answer. No wonder I was so broke then. How can you become successful when you have nothing to offer?
What is success in life? It is confidence in your ability to produce the desired result, plus a response to that ability.
People do not pay you for your potential, they pay you for the results you can produce for them.
It is never too late to ‘go to school’. By that I mean, get a coach or mentor, pay to learn, and in a few years, you could start earning from your knowledge, experiences, or skill. Success requires that you submit to a process if you have no experience.
Final thoughts on The Question-What Is Success In Life
At some point or the other in life, we all have felt dissatisfaction with where we are, leaving us wondering and seeking how to become successful in life.
The answer lies within your self-knowledge, a belief in your potential as a human. And the willingness to trust in the universe’s benevolence as you strive towards your heart’s desires.
It is also worthy of note, that we define what we are willing to give in exchange for what we want.
The world is ours to conquer if we refuse to conform or give up.
